I was just reflecting on 'winks from the Universe', which is a thought I have often, so I decided to open up my email and share my thoughts, which I've now turned into this blog post below.
For me, 'winks from the Universe' are synchronicities, or other un-explainable events that catch our attention, (such as you dream of someone and see them the next day... or you are thinking about about a question and then happen to hear the answer to your question in a song in that very moment... or you grab a book off your bookshelf to find a particular page in that book and you open right to it "by chance"), which point us in the direction of contemplating and or affirming to us, that there is much more to life than we see at the surface. That all things are connected, and that the Universe is magic.
But what is magic? Magic is often thought of as illusions, make-believe, fantasy or not real. However when you look at the origin of the word...
"late 14c., magike, "art of influencing or predicting events and producing marvels using hidden natural forces"
'In the Middle Ages, magic was considered more or less legitimate, and involved much that would be explained scientifically as the manipulation of natural forces.'
Notice I highlighted "natural forces". These natural forces can be looked at through the lens of quantum physics.
1. When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
2. The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
3. Any sufficiently advanced technology, is indistinguishable from magic.
Anchoring in magic.
One of my life hacks I developed for myself to pull me out of the downward spiral of "negative" thinking, is to anchor in magic.
What I mean by anchoring in magic, is that if you are having a moment of "rough seas" of limiting and or fear based thoughts and emotions, is to reference a magic/synchornistic experience you've had and using that as your anchor of stability... i.e. anchoring in magic.
Finding your magic anchor.
When you reflect back, do you remember any little or big unexplainable experience you've had? It might be as simple as thinking of someone the moment before they called, or a moment where you knew something before it happened, etc. Your magic anchor can be ANYTHING that reminds you that there is a bigger magical picture at play.
If you can't think of one, you can state something like this...
"Universe and spirit guides, send me a clear sign or sychronicity that shows me how magic life really is."
Utilizing your magic anchor.
Some days may be easier than others, however keep your magic anchor with you and reflect on that magic moment you experienced anytime you find yourself in a place of doubt, or worry etc. This is your reminder that there is a bigger magical picture unfolding, and that although we may not always understand why certain things are the way they are in that very moment... to remember the Universe is magic and all is unfolding the way it needs to.
This doesn't mean that we just have to accept things, but to accept those things we can not change at the moment, to learn the lessons they bring us, and to make those changes when we can.
We are empowered and supported by the Universe.
We always get what we need when we need it. So, if you are not getting something you want in this moment, reflect on any limiting beliefs you may have that might possibly be blocking what you want; to be gentle on yourself; learn from the limiting beliefs, nurture them and find new supportive beliefs that you can replace them with. All while simultaneously being aware that all is in perfect timing for each of us at all times.
A little reminder...
"Take what you like (from the above), leave what you don't like, and create your own. - Bruce Lee
